Nice article! I wonder how much faster spidermonkey will be when using regular expressions in JS... 100 times??? Rhino is notoriously slow with regexps... I might look into using spidermonkey for my tool, the compressorrater. I currently use rhino to run the packer compressor, and it's extremely slow!!
